Mom convinced Dad to take us with him last Thursday to do some of his work in Payson (Strawberry, Snowflake, Taylor, Globe etc.) and he gave in and said yes :) We all left at 5 in the morning and didn't get home until 6pm! We had so much fun together! I am going to post some pictures soon, I just have to figure out how to work my Dad's (now my) camera... and that might take a while!!

I've been pondering about how Heavenly Father gives you challenges so that you can learn and overcome them, and how he will not give you more than you can bear, but challenges are difficult.... especially if you are anticipating something really scary (in your mind) to happen. Sometimes it is hard to know that you will be able to overcome something that you feel is unbearable. I just try to remember that fear does not come from my Heavenly Father, but of the devil, and the devil will do everything in his power to make me as miserable as I possibly can be. If my goal is the Celestial kingdom, and he can manage to bring me to only the Terrestrial kingdom, then that is my personal hell, and he will be pleased. In Joshua 1:9 is says...
Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed; for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Like a bird learning to fly, if you don't have the faith and courage to take that first step because of fear of falling, you will never learn to soar.
